To be honest I'm not to good with this about crap.Never have been.I'll try my best though.I'm guessing I'll just give you the basics of my life.Really,if you want to knows me well,talk to me or ask questions.I won't tell you everything though.
Born Brian Haner,jr better known as Synyster Gates.I'm twenty-six.I'll be twenty-seven on July 7.Remember that and get me something!I play guitar for Avenged Sevenfold.Haven't heard of us?You must be living uner rock for he last three years or so.You can only call me Brian if we're close or I like you other then that I prefer you to just call me Syn or Gates.Really though if you call me Brian I probably wont answer.I'm only ever called that now if I'm in trouble or something.Brian I rarely hear anymore.I got the name Synyster Gates driving around drunk one night with our drummer,The Rev and screamed "I am Synyster Gates and I am awesome."I really don't know where I got it from,but it obviously stuck.
I've been playing guitar since I was 12.My first guitar was a Micheal Jackson acoustic,given to me by grandparents.My father plays too and he taught me alittle and from then on I was hooked.I taught myself most of it by ear.I never did like being told what to play or looking at books to learn it all.I went to college for jazz music for not even a semester before dropping out to join Avenged.The band needed another guitarist and I had known the rev since eighth grade and he told the guys about me.Next thing I know I'm not even half way through trying out when they tell me I was in.The band has become a huge part of my life since.All five of us have been through so much together.I really would be lost without them,they've become my family.After years of playing small clubs,we got signed to Goodlife records.Sounding the Seventh Trumpet was recored on them even though we payed for all of it to be recorded.After that we got signed to Hopeless.STST was re-released with them and we recorded Waking the Fallen with them.they treated us good,but bigger and better things were in store for us.Warner Bros. came along and we signed with them.They're great.They give us as much freedom as we want.We released City of Evil with them and our newest self-titled album.We produced it ourselves and we're all really proud of it.Go out and buy it,yeah?
I'm guessing you wanna know about my life love as well,huh?Well I was dating Michelle Dibenedetto for a long time but after a numerous fights we both decided that we'd be better off as friends.I still care about her and she knows I'm always here if she ever needs me.AS of late I've been dating the lovely Kat Von D.She's not what I'd usually go for in a girlfriend,but then again I dont think I have a type.She's great.I love being around her.I'm more then comfortable with her and when we get back from touring she's moving in with me.I can't wait.
We just started tour a few days ago and so far the shows have been great.I love being on stage and watching all the kids go nuts.As of right now we're on the road still and hopefully we'll be in Wisconsin by early morning.So for now I'm gonna go lay down and watch some Harry Potter.
